Texas Assurance Care is family owned and operated by Lynn* and
Harry Shank, and specializes in Senior Planning Services.

Our Mission
To provide individuals - especially seniors and their families
- with the tools and the information to insure that they will not
outlive their money. To help them protect their lifestyle and health
care choices, so they may remain independent, financially secure,
and in control of their future as they age.
Our Concept
Texas Assurance Care was founded on the concept of providing ethical
and affordable insurance planning and asset preservation services
for seniors and their families. Through strategic community partnerships
and associations, we can offer the most comprehensive resources
available.
Our Team Approach
Texas Assurance Care has assembled a team of professionals that
includes: attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, and a vast network
of senior service providers. Working together, we address all of
the varied and unique needs of senior clients and their families
through free consultations and referrals. Our local team includes:
Randy Morgan, Associate
Randy
moved to Austin several years ago, while in the Air Force, and decided
to retire and stay. Randy is married and has two adult children
and his wife Linda works at UT in the Student Financial Aid Office,
Student Employment Section.
Randy was formerly the Regional Nursing Home Ombudsman at the Area
Agency on Aging. Randy's high ethical standards and considerable
experience dealing with long-term care and family caregiver issues
as well as senior benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid,
fits perfectly into Texas Assurance Care's guiding principles and
scope of services.
Harry & Lynn Shank, Owners
Harry
is one of the first in the State of Texas to earn the Certified
Senior Advisor designation. He is a fraternal insurance counselor
and is considered by many colleagues and associates to be a leading
authority on long-term care insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and various
senior health care issues and concerns. Harry and Lynn have been
featured speakers and panelists for a number of senior programs
and conferences such as Seton Good Health School, St. David's Senior
Friends Program, AARP, Alzheimer's Association Speaker's Bureau,
and Texas Conference on Aging.
*Lynn is also a Certified Senior Advisor(CSA)**, a licensed insurance
agent and a contributing writer for senior related publications
both locally and nationally. She has been a long-distance caregiver
and has a personal understanding of the unique challenges faced
by those in a caregiving role. She has represented Texas Assurance
Care on the boards of Family Eldercare Money Management Program,
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Travis County (RSVP), Foster
Grandparents Program, Seniors & Law Enforcement in Cedar Park
& Leander, and the Texas Silverhaired Legislature Foundation
Board, and has developed several continuing education programs for
a variety of healthcare professionals on long-term care and related
topics which she provides to organizations at no charge.
Harry and Lynn have earned the trust of many non-profit organizations,
state agencies, and consumer organizations through their passion
for elder care issues and their tireless efforts to educate seniors
and their families about the importance of legal, financial, and
healthcare planning throughout their lives.
